The Buttered Biscuit- Bradley Beach, NJ

The Buttered Biscuit is a little gem right on Main Street in Bradley Beach; you would never guess from the outside that this spot would be a “must go-to,” but it sure is. If you’re craving good breakfast food, you should consider checking this place out.

The first time I was ever here was prior to the addition they added. Since they have added the addition, it is like walking into a new world from what it was prior. The menu is not overwhelmingly large; however each meal is different which gives a good variety to choose from. No matter what you’re craving for breakfast, you will be able to find something here to satisfy your craving. I got the spinach, tomato, and feta cheese omelet. I have been on a feta kick lately, so this omelet spoke to me above the rest. It was so good and flavorful. I love the fact that they bring hot sauce over to the table without me even asking for it! OK, that is probably just something a hot sauce addict like me would appreciate, but I had to mention it. There is a nice omelet selection overall, something different in each one. Breakfast wraps are offered as well, which all were different in their own right. Paul got the biscuits and gravy, one of his favorite breakfast foods. I remember the first time we ever had it here, it was served cold; I never forgot that, but in our most recent experience, it was served hot and it was very good. Redemption at its finest. He also got the side of corn beef hash, which he loved. The corn beefed hash is definitely a very common popular item on this menu! Another very popular item is the corn bread. People become addicted to this one as well. Moving on, I have had the French toast here before, which is good. I don’t like when there is too much going on with my French toast, so I am not a fan of all the stuffings and toppings at once, but you don’t need to order one like that. That’s the beauty of this place; there is something for everyone. One of the specials today was a Nutella stuffed French toast. Oh my goodness, sounds heavenly, but I just could not pull the trigger on it. Pancakes are large and look fluffy and perfectly cooked. I think the food is very good with a lot of unique twists.

The atmosphere is a huge upgrade from what the restaurant first was. Now there is a bar area to eat breakfast, as well as a brighter, more refined dining area in addition to their original space. I used to feel like I was eating in a dark cave, but now there is a fresh, homey vibe that runs through. Parking is a pain, but that is just how it works in Bradley, and that is not any establishment’s fault.

The customer service is great. You are greeted with a smile right when you walk in. The service is quick and everyone is friendly and accommodating. There may be a wait when you arrive, so beware of the time you choose to go. Some times are busier than others, but usually the place is always packed on the weekends.

I recommend you try out The Buttered Biscuit and see for yourself how you like it. It is the perfect spot for a casual breakfast that will leave your taste buds happy. Hey, who doesn’t love breakfast all day? Check it out!
