Federici’s- Belmar/Freehold, NJ

Federici’s is of my favorite pizza spots on the Jersey Shore! They have two locations, one in Belmar and one in Freehold, and they both deliver each time. Federici’s on Tenth is a great addition to Belmar and stands out with one of the top pizza spots in the area.
I will begin this by saying that pizza is such a subjective thing. I say this in each review where I am reviewing pizza. Federici’s pizza is categorized as thin crust. While other thin crust pizzas tend to have the consistency of cardboard, Federici’s is perfectly thin but still with the feeling that you’re actually eating pizza, not cardboard that breaks in half the second you bite into it. Does that make sense or am I rambling nonsense? Beware; you most likely cannot just eat one slice of this pizza. It is tasty and lightweight that one slice will not do the trick. I love the pepperoni pizza. This pizza is the true definition of delicious thin crust pizza. They have a full menu in addition to the pizza. The house dressing for the salad is very good. You can also “create your own pasta.” The mozzarella sticks are great too’ their crispy exterior and perfectly melted cheese interior make them top notch! While this review focuses on the pizza, all of the food I have had here is good. Keep in mind the Belmar location is a BYO! Federici’s in Freehold has a full bar and serves up some awesome sangria too!
The atmosphere at the Federici’s Belmar location is like a replica of the Freehold location. The décor is simple, nothing over the top. The space can feel a little tight, but not a deterrent. They have added outdoor seating when the weather is nice, which is a nice touch. Always nice to eat outside and take in the awesome beach-like air. Too bad it is not located overlooking the beach, but it does the trick by being in a popular beach town and not far from a lot of the popular Belmar bars.
Customer service is great as well. The Federici’s staff is friendly and even when you take out, the service is fast! Great all around!
This pizza is priced very well compared to other popular pizza places. You can get a plain large pie for $12.95. Others that will remain unnamed charge around $18, which is ridiculous for essentially dough, sauce, and cheese. You will pay for the name and reputation, but they are overall fairly priced.
If you have not tried Federici’s, you’re missing out. It has always stood out as a staple for pizza maybe within the whole state. It is a great addition to Belmar, but even the location in Freehold is awesome as well. Both locations are a win on pizza! Try it and let us know what you think!
