The Cheese Cave- Red Bank, NJ

The Cheese Cave is a little hot spot in Red Bank on Monmouth Street and is definitely a place you can’t miss! What goes together better than wine and cheese? This place could be anything you want it to be. Need a quick bite on your lunch break? Come here for some awesome sandwiches. Need some cheese platters, charcuterie, or catering for events? Give them a call! How about the perfect spot for a date night? Come on in. The Cheese Cave can be anything you want it to be.

The Cheese Cave website states,

The Cheese Cave is an artisan cheese shop featuring the world’s greatest cheeses along with imported and domestic cured meats, assorted olives, roasted tomatoes, fruit preserves, chutneys, honey, crackers, brick oven breads and confections. Cheese and specialty food gift baskets are custom created in addition to subscriptions to our Cheese of the Month Club, which can be a great gift. We also provide daily blackboard sandwich specials of ooey-gooey cheesy goodness!

Let’s start with my favorite night at the Cheese Cave, $5 Fridays! Bring a bottle of wine, come on in, and for $5 a person, eat some cheese! Each Friday, they change the spread of cheese offered. They also display some jams that pair well with the displayed cheeses and have some bread out as well. No one rushes you, and you can go up as many times as you would like for a plate. It’s a great stop to make on a Friday night before dinner! That’s my favorite time to go. $5 Friday is from 5-8PM, but I prefer to go on the earlier end. The shop is a little small, so you want to make sure you get a table. Otherwise, you will be standing with your cheese and wine until a table opens. However, the small size of the shop is what adds to its charm and cozy feeling so it is not necessarily a bad thing.

If you taste a cheese you love, feel free to go up to the counter and purchase some. If you purchase one of the cheeses you like on $5 Friday, you get 15% off! Can’t beat that. They also have for sale crackers and jams that would complement the cheeses nicely.

I have ordered cheese platters from here and also their amazing seven cheese mac’n cheese. WOW is all I have to say about that. The mac’n cheese tray is huge and great for holiday parties! The Cheese Cave is such a special shop full of artisanal cheeses throughout America.

The cheese mongers and the owner Steven are very nice and knowledgeable. They not only know about cheese, but they know wines and beers to pair with it as well. A very nice touch!

The Cheese Cave also offers cheese classes as well. They sometimes promote these through Living social or Groupon so keep your eyes peeled for those deals!

This place is a gem! You should definitely check it out if you haven’t already. Also, check out their news and events at www.thecheesecave.co.
