Toki- Red Bank, NJ

Toki is a great addition to Red Bank with a full menu and some amazing sushi! Red Bank’s awesome additions keep piling on and Toki is definitely on the list of great new additions.

Toki is a bring your own venue so don’t forget your favorite beers or wine when you come for your sushi fix. I’m going to start with their rolls because I just can’t get enough of them! I have come here for lunch and dinner and have thoroughly always enjoyed myself. Great lunch specials, by the way! Specialty rolls here are a must try. We also did the run of the mill shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and avocado cucumber rolls, which were fresh and great, but the specialty rolls are what makes their sushi special! (No pun intended). The Amazing Roll is called the “amazing roll” because it is just that; amazing! It is spicy crunchy tuna and avocado inside, top with fresh Mango and tobiko. I have become a recent fan of mango topped on my rolls. It adds such a nice refreshing taste and off sets the soy sauce/wasabi combination I dip my rolls into. The Pink Lady Roll is another killer! It is spicy tuna and crunchy & avocado inside, top with fresh cut salmon. You can tell I love spicy tuna, right? My last favorite specialty roll outside of the spicy tuna realm is the Jade Roll. This roll is salmon, avocado cucumber inside, topped with white tuna, garnished with thinly sliced jalapeno and yuzu sauce. Their fried rice was very good. It had more egg in it than usual, so if you’re not a fan of egg, make sure to tell them that. Edamame was also a great appetizer. All of the entrees were diverse and looked great. Looking forward to trying one of them in the near  future. Toki also has hibachi service so if you decide that hibachi tickles your fancy, you have this option here as well.

The atmosphere is simple and casual. It looks like a modern sushi establishment. If you’re looking for some lounge like atmosphere or night life, this is not your place. It is simply a place to come for good food, especially sushi.

Customer service is good. Food comes out quickly and is always fresh. Waiters are attentive and helpful. Nothing else to say here.

They run groupons sometimes so keep your eye out for $24 for two $20 vouchers to spend any time! It is a great way to try a new place. You will definitely come back for more once you try it once. Toki is an awesome food spot! Give it a try!
